The tradition of the Uglyman has been an important part of many sororities throughout history; ours' included. Each spring, our group chooses one male that goes to our school, generally in a Greek group or another organization, to become a part of our sorority. Our "Ugly" comes to all of our events, chapter meetings, and basically becomes 'one of the sisters'. Being chosen as our Ugly is a major honor and we try our best to make him feel welcome and appreciated throughout his year of holding the title.
Our current Ugly is Emerson Bartch! He is a part of Delta Upsilon Fraternity here on campus. He is originally from Dayton, Oregon and is an Art Major.
“Kappa Beta Gamma has played a quintessential role in shaping who I am today. In the past few years they have helped me come out of my shell and be more outgoing on campus. I am excited to be part of a group that cares so much about philanthropic work and creating a strong sense of sisterhood amongst its members. I look forward to the new friendships that I have the opportunity to make in the near future.” -Emerson (2017-18)
"My favorite thing about Kappas so far is all the new friendships that I have formed since being brought into this great sorority. A fun fact about me is that my favorite things are soccer and Star Wars." -Keith (2016-17)
"Kappas gave me the opportunity to build great relationships while getting very involved on campus. Becoming a part of kappas also made me come out of my shell more than I ever imagined so I'm very thankful for that." -Collin (2015-16)
